There were two boys named Arjun and Ravi, both were school friends. They went to Krishna Bharti Public School. They were in class 10. They were very good friends as they had been together since class 1.

Arjun belonged to a middle-class family, they used to spend on what was needed the most by them. Arjun’s father was a sales employee in a firm named Bharat Enterprises, he used to workday and night to sell their products. He wanted Arjun to get the best education and become the best in the career that he would pursue.

Arjun was a very obedient child, he used to respect the elders, and he used to listen to what they were saying because he knew that they wanted the best for him. He used to succeed in whatever he used to do.

He was good at studies; maths was his favourite subject. He used to solve maths questions every day so that he could score the best in class. He was not only good in studies but in extracurricular activities as well, he used to play Basketball and he was the captain of the school’s Basketball team.

Whenever anyone used to ask him about his growth from an introverted child to becoming the best in class, he used to say that he has achieved all this because of the elders around him.

Every day he used to spend time with his grandfather and grandmother, and he used to tell them about his whole day at school. He used to make them laugh, by cracking funny jokes. He used to massage their feet for about an hour. He used to love spending time with his grandparents.

One day both Ravi and Arjun saw an old woman lying on the road, she was crying with pain. She was asking for help. Many people were there but all of them ignored her and went to their work.

Arjun told Ravi that we should help her, Initially, Ravi was skeptical but then he used to always listen to Arjun, so he went with Arjun to help her. Both he them went near her and they saw that her left leg was bleeding, she was in extreme pain.

They held her hand, picked her up, made her sit in an auto, and told the driver to take her to the nearest hospital. When they went there, she told them that a truck driver passed his truck on her when she was crossing the road.

They cried seeing the pain of the old woman, they felt helpless. Ravi called his father and told him about the situation, he immediately came to the hospital and paid for all the expenses at the hospital.

After some days the old woman recovered, she thanked them and gave them thousands of blessings. She told them that they would surely succeed in their career. She had no family and friends, but she got a family after that incident.

Arjun and Ravi passed their class 10 with great marks, they were the toppers of the class. They were cheerful at the same time they were prepared to do something big in their life as said by the old woman.

Moral of the story:

Respecting our elders and treating them well is the best thing that we can do. we are the only source of happiness for them. We will always be ahead in our lives with their priceless blessings.
